Good evening,

This week I’d like to celebrate our year six. I feel privileged to have had the chance to work with this year group this term. They have all worked incredibly hard and I am proud of every one of them. Next week, they have their SATs. We would like them to know that these tests do not define them and show how amazing they are at cricket, music, computing, art, design – the list is endless! I’d like them to make sure that they have a weekend off work (no homework) and enjoy a restful weekend. We look forward to supporting them all to shine as they finish their year and head to secondary school.

We’d like to celebrate the following achievers this week:

• Little Owls and Tawny Owls – Millie for great tidying up and for trying garden peas. Khalil for working hard in his writing.
• Kestrels – Jack for being a wonderful learning partner and explaining things so carefully.
• Merlins – Sean for great focus on times tables and making excellent progress. Albi for great group working skills in Science.
• Eagles – Mabel for her extended answers in reading. Isaac for really applying himself this week.

Well done to our handwriting hero Charlie D. Our reading raffle winners are: Isla, Boyd, James, Rohan, Emily, Darcy and Ava-May.

Good evening,

Today, I have heard all about the wonderful trip to Home Farm. Little Owls and Tawny Owls had a brilliant day and came back full of the animals that they saw. They had a lovely day. Thank you to all the adults that volunteered and the staff for taking them.

It is fantastic to hear how well our swimmers are doing this year. They have all been listening really well and have been focusing on developing their confidence in the water. If your child is in KS2 and you think that they would benefit from extra swimming sessions, please let the office know.

This week we’d like to celebrate the following achievers:

• Little Owls and Tawny Owls – Esmee for super listening on our farm trip and Arthur for showing a keen interest in and amazing knowledge of the natural world.
• Kestrels – Katy for brilliant labelling of her plant in science and James for trying so hard in phonics and being a great member of the class.
• Merlins – Sia for great focus on learning her times tables and Henri H. for his calm and positive attitude to learning.
• Eagles – Oscar for a mature attitude to learning, Neve for working hard in all areas of the curriculum and Elliott for going above and beyond in his learning.

Our handwriting heroes are Kit, Tess, Harry and Jack. Well done to our reading raffle winners this week: Ralph, Katy, Dom, Charlie J, Emily, Etienne and Elliott.
