Mental wellbeing is really important for everyone. Children’s mental health week is when we think about our health and recognise how we can help ourselves.
Mental health awareness week is an annual event that happens every year. The mental health foundation started the event 21 years ago the foundation continues to set the theme, organise and set the week.
At Longnor, today, we have dressed up in each class to make us happy. It is an opportunity for kids to wear clothes that make them feel free and comfortable.
In class, we have had a talk about what mental wellbeing is. To stay healthy it is important to eat well and have exercise. In Hygge week, we looked at how it is important to be relaxed in your surroundings; we thought about this through this week too. In our PE lessons, we’ve been doing dance. For me, when we are dancing, it feels free and you are letting out all your troubles. This helps with our mental wellbeing.
If I could give you some advice, I would suggest exercise a lot and do stuff that makes you feel comfortable and happy.
