In class, today, we were doing science. In science, we were learning about shadows and light sources. Shadows are formed when you shine a light on an opaque object and the light source is blocked and you only see the light that can travel past it. Light sources are things that produce light for example the sun, a torch and lightning. My favourite part of science is when you draw diagrams and when you get to test it out.
In history, we are learning about Mayan houses and how the Mayans lived. We’ve learnt about ball games – the only way to hit the ball was by using your thigh, hip, elbow and head. If you lose, you get killed and sacrificed to the Gods. I would not like to play this game because it involves death!
We have used the Chromebooks by doing programming using Micro:bits. We’ve been programming them by getting the Micro:bit to show LEDs, numbers on the screen and messages. We also use programs like typing.com to practise how to type better with all your fingers. This helps us when we’re using Google Classroom to write letters and messages. Computing is really fun.
This week has been an exciting week. I hope we are going to do more about the Mayans next week.
