Farewell message from Jo Bullock (governor) After 7 years and as my second child moves on to Secondary school I have decided to step down as Governor of Longnor School. It has been a real privilege and genuine pleasure to contribute to supporting the school, particularly through many interesting yet challenging times. The governors are an amazingly dedicated team of people who are all incredibly passionate about Longnor, working in the role of ‘critical friend’ to represent the whole school community’s interests. I have really enjoyed the insight into the behind the scenes running of the school and the opportunity to have an impact. I will really miss being part of this amazingly friendly and supportive team. Being a governor is a brilliant way to use and develop your skills whilst giving something back. While it is a job to take seriously it certainly is very manageable and extremely rewarding. If you are interested in finding out more about being a Governor I’d be happy to chat to you – please let the school office know!
