There are imminent changes to the free school meal entitlement. This means that more families will be eligible. Please have a look at the attached details and apply online via the Shropshire Synergy Website from the 24th June.
The universal free school meals entitlement has not changed: Children in reception, year 1 and year 2 will continue to be entitled to free meals, regardless of the earnings or benefit status of their households, under the UIFSM programme.
Families are still encouraged to apply for benefits-based free school meals
because if they are eligible for Targeted FSM, they could attract additional funding for
school and they will also be able to access the other support linked to Targeted FSM,
such as the HAF programme.
