Good evening,
What a busy week we’ve had in school! We can’t believe that we’ve only been back a week!
This week has been live music week. We were lucky to have a visiting choir on Tuesday, listen to music performed on the clarinet, piano and violin; then, today, Mrs Lewis brought in her harp. It was really big and made a lovely sound. It was interesting hearing how a harp works.
Back on Wednesday morning we had our Remembrance service in church. We took time to sing, share prayers and have our minute silence showing our respect for those that have given and still give their lives so that we can live in peace and harmony. It was lovely hearing the music of Hildegard played in the hall. Hildegard is the first composer that we are listening to in our new music listening scheme. I wonder whether anyone in school remembers any facts about this composer.
Today, we were lucky to have Kestrel class share their work with us in assembly. Thank you to all that were able to join us. It is fantastic hearing about all their work and what they’ve been up to. They’ve obviously been having lots of fun too!
We’ve tried to give you some dates ready for the autumn term. We hope these help for your diary and planning.
Thank you and have a lovely weekend.
Mrs L. Edgerton
