Good evening,
It has been lovely to have a little bit of sunshine this week – a perfect week to start the half marathon challenge. All children will have the opportunity to go outside and run/walk laps of the grounds to add miles towards their half marathon over the next few weeks. We are excited to see everyone outside and enjoying the spring air.
This week in assemblies we’ve been focusing on the value of forgiveness. We’ve thought about how we can show that we are sorry as we get the opportunity to turn over a new leaf. We looked at the story of Zacchaeus, the tax collector and thought about the offerings that he made to show that he was sorry.
We’d like to celebrate these achievers this week:
- Little Owls and Tawny Owls – Alice for brilliant manners and Annie for always trying her best.
- Kestrels – Oliver for his fantastic oracy kills and showing respect in RE, Joel for always trying his best and Althea for wonderful effort and progress in reading.
- Merlins – Charlie J for great perseverance in maths and Rupert for great effort when story writing.
- Eagles – everyone! All of Eagle class have tried their very best whilst completing their assessments this week and have shown tremendous progress. Well done to everyone.
Well done to our handwriting heroes this week: Zach S, James and Tilly J. Our reading raffle winners are Ralph, Freddie, Darcy, Florence, Molly, Neve and Jess. We also celebrated with our golden ticket winners today. Thank you to Fin, Alice Br, Hettie and Darcy for always being polite and having excellent manners.
We hope that everyone has a safe and healthy weekend.
