Good evening,
To sum up our week in school I thought I’d share some of the highlights from sharing assembly:
- Walking into the hall, it was obvious that Merlin class had been exploring the wonders of art and how a plinth can turn everyday items into artistic masterpieces: Wren was stood on a plinth as a statue, next to some beans on a plate and Lego made out of the Italian flag What a fantastic exploration of modern art.
- Eagle class shared their wonderful stories inspired by the book Skellig. They also explained how they’ve been looking at inheritance through a made up species in science. It is amazing to see their progress.
- Kestrels shared their work on Scratch Junior, their amazing maths work and their reading of music using the glockenspiels to play pieces: they even told us about crotchets and quavers!
- Celine shared how they made the highest tower at the Concord College Maths Competition and the team applied their knowledge of structures in their building work!
With such a busy week, we’d also like to say well done to year four on completing their multiplication check and year one for their phonics check work. They all took it in their stride answering maths questions and reading alien words! Well done years one and four!
Eagle class has a trip to Crucial Crew on Monday. They had a great day, showing excellent focus as they thought about how to stay safe.
On Wednesday evening, a group from years one to five joined children from all over the county to sing at ‘Shropshire Sings’. It was a great evening, singing and dancing to some great songs. Well done to all that attended and thank you to parents for your support.
What a busy week that was!
Have a lovely weekend.
