Good evening,
This is the first newsletter of the year, so let me begin by saying ‘Happy New Year’ to you all!
What a start we’ve had to the year! Storm Goretti disrupted the beginning of the year, bring the snow, wind and ice. We hope that you all have had power and water restored and managed to enjoy the day in the snow. Many, many thanks go to members of the community that have helped me clear the debris and damage caused by the storm. A huge thank you goes to the Marais family, Downes family and Thomas family.
Starting back in 2026, we have thought about our ambitions and goals for the year ahead. In assembly, we have introduced the ‘be inspired’ stickers. We hope that you have seen some already. To receive a sticker, children have shown resilience and aimed high, completing challenging problems and activities. We hope that children will be inspired to learn from each other and attend new clubs that have been planned for this term, including performing arts, sports, animation, Lego and coding clubs. These are to start next week.

This week we would like to celebrate the following achievers:
- Little Owls and Tawny Owls: Alice for being a lovely friend and Khalil for trying hard with his phonics.
- Kestrels: Leo for trying hard with letter formation, Flossie for super effort in maths this week, Evie for always her best and Dom for fantastic concentration this week.
- Merlins: Zach for his lovely, polite manners, Troy for a fantastic start to his new school and Matilda for having an excellent attitude to learning.
- Eagles: Alice for her fantastic initiative to advance her own learning and Ava for amazing detailed reasoning in maths.
Well done to Elliott, Hunter and Miles who are our handwriting heroes this week.
Thanks again for your help and support over the past week. We are looking forward to a busy and ‘inspiring’ term ahead.
Have a lovely weekend.
Mrs L. Edgerton
