Good evening,
As the year draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support over the year.
First, I’d like to thank the staff team at Longnor. We are very lucky to have a dedicated team that goes above and beyond to offer learning experiences and care for the children of Longnor. They are often here late into the evening and share such positivity through the school.
Next, I’d like to thank the children of Longnor. They have all worked hard and tried their best. One of the strengths of our school, in my opinion, is the way that the children develop personally: whether that be through leading clubs, taking on a role or supporting each other in their learning. I believe our children are an asset to our community.
Thanks also goes to the School Circle who have arranged some fantastic events for our school this year and raised a significant amount of money for the school. This year your donations have gone towards subsidising class swimming sessions – paying for a swimming teacher to support lessons. They have also paid for two large dining tables for our hall: this has made school dinner service a lot easier, so we are really thankful for these. Thank you to all of you.
To those that volunteer each week to listen to readers or help on school trips, without you, we would struggle to offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Thank you for taking times to support us. We really appreciate it.
Then, finally, thank you for the support that you as parents and carers give to the school and children. We are a team and working together must remain a priority to support each individual.
Best of luck to our year six. They have been a fabulous year group to work with. Each individual has grown and flourished here and we wish them the very best as they continue their education at secondary school. We hope that they stay in touch and let us know how they are getting on.
For now though, I would like to wish you the very best. Have a lovely, safe summer holiday.
Mrs L. Edgerton
