There are many reasons to say thank you today. First of all, I’d like to thank everyone who donated cakes or brought in some money today for Red Nose Day or the Ukraine bake sale. We raised a total of £148.99 so we will donate half to each charity. It has been a lovely atmosphere in school today and thank you to Polly, Ottie and Ben for helping to organise the cake sale.

Thank you so much to all of you for spending time filling in the parent questionnaire. Thank you for all the supportive messages. There are some key issues raised and excellent suggestions which we value and we are taking all of your points into consideration. Here is a summary of how we plan to react to your suggestions:
- Pupil questionnaire and time in class to talk about how we can ensure that every single child has a great experience at school and enjoys their education.
- Communication:
- We will begin to use Seesaw (for years 1 – 6) to share more from the classroom so that you can have updates. Please delete student accounts for Seesaw to only have the Family app. This means that you won’t need to keep logging in and out of accounts. You will also receive updates via notification. Some days / weeks are busier than others, so we apologise in advance if some weeks you receive more images than others. Seesaw self help guide March 2022
- We will only use the email system for the school office to communicate home. This will be the newsletter and any updates in the evening.
- Should an immediate message need to be sent home, then we will use the announcement tool on Seesaw / Tapestry as we can send messages at any time via this app. Please have the family app on your phone only as this will ensure that you have these announcements.
- School is looking at a plan for how to send home expectations for work, so please watch this space.
- We have begun to look at a communication strategy. Please find this linked for your reference: Communication strategy March 2022
- Behaviour:
- School council are currently working at a new strategy for promoting positive behaviour. They will be reporting to those at home shortly, so please, again, watch this space.
With illnesses creeping through all year groups, we thank you for your continued support as we have reduced staff in school.
Take care of yourselves. Stay safe and healthy this weekend.
All the best.
Mrs L. Edgerton
