Good evening,
What another busy week it has been! All classes are focused and diving into their topics.
Class one have been looking at themselves, their emotions and creating amazing pieces of art and music. They had to look carefully at their facial features in the mirror in order to create their own self portraits. Shapes and colours have been really important this week.
Class two have been working hard at their handwriting and letter formation. They have written some fantastic sentences using outstanding vocabulary linked to the Roald Dahl Book ‘Billy and the Minpins’. In PE, they have been taking time to think about control, posture and mindfulness through yoga led by Ms Yates.
Class three have been exploring mummification in the Ancient Egyptian project that they are enjoying. They were sharing the details that they had discovered with excellent enthusiasm! They’ve also been working hard at their problem solving in their mathematics – applying their written calculations accurately.
Class four have also transported back through time to the Ancient Mayan communities. They have been researching interesting facts and creating their own Maya houses in forest school using natural resources. They’ve also been working incredibly hard at their writing and all showing excellent progress.
Well done Longnor! Have a lovely weekend and see you on Monday for another jampacked week!
