Good evening,
What a busy week we’ve had in school!
This week we have focused on anti-bullying with the main message being the ‘Power for Good’. We’ve thought about how we can use our power for positive affirmations and to stamp out any bullying we might see. We’ve thought about the adults we trust and how we can talk about our feelings to our friends and family. We also had a poster competition: our winners were Meriam and Joel, both have won a book token.
Our proud to be me day was fantastic. It was great to see the children relaxed and in their own clothes. We’ve had a great afternoon thinking about what makes us individual and special, celebrating everyone together.
Thank you to everyone who donated a box of cereal for our dominoes. The food bank were amazed by the generosity from Longnor community.

Well done to our achievers this week:
- Little Owls: Esmee and Elin for great teamwork.
- Kestrels: Owen for his fabulous work across the curriculum and Oliver for his brilliant number bond work.
- Merlins: Lucy for an excellent attitude towards work and Marco for a very positive approach to learning.
- Eagles: Pippa for her excellent attitude to learning and Camilla for always being helpful to other children and adults.
- Mrs Beel has nominated Oscar in Merlins for being incredibly helpful and polite around school.
Our handwriting heroes are Katy, Iris, Betsy and Wren.
Have a lovely weekend.
Mrs L. Edgerton
