Good evening,
What a fantastic half term we’ve had in school!
It has been jampacked with trips, sports and lots of learning! It is great when we have visitors in school and this week we’ve had Jack’s mum share historical artefacts in Kestrels and Frankie’s mum share all about teeth in Merlin class. The children loved learning from the experts, so thank you so much.
A huge thank you to the Thompson family and the Probert family for helping move the bark at the weekend. We now have a really thick layer of bark beneath the climbing frame – really safe and looking nice and fresh too.
Thank you to everyone who is part of School Circle for your amazing hard work this term. The ceilidh was a great success – it was really good fun having families dancing together. You are all working hard preparing the Lawley Leap and fete, so thank you for everything that you are doing.
This week we’d like to celebrate the following achievers:
- Little owls and tawny owls -Lottie for fantastic phonics work. Iris for a wonderful piece of independent writing.
- Kestrels -Matea for creating a super structure with a clear design. Boyd for showing creativity and focus when making a brilliant tree house. Flo for showing confidence in maths and being a multiplication whizz.
- Merlins – Alice B for her excellent positive attitude to learning. Esther for showing amazing determination with swimming. Emily for great focus and positivity to learning.
- Eagles – Owen for great descriptive writing in Spanish. Isaac and Toby for excellent use of the computer to help their spellings.
Well done to our handwriting heroes who are Alice Br, Ellis and Oscar C. Congratulations to the reading raffle winners this week: Ralph, Dom, Floss, Oscar C, Matilda, Etienne and Ava-May.
A huge thank you for your continued support through the school circle events and day-to-day life at school.
Have a lovely half term.
