December and Advent have begun and school is a hub of festive activity, songs and cheer! Everyone was really excited when they entered school and saw the fairy lights and snow flakes through the corridor. Thank you so much to the elves that decorated school on Sunday.
Thank you also to the Lehmann family for donating a beautiful Christmas tree to the school. We had great fun decorating it and it makes our hall look really festive. Thank you.
We’d also like to say thank you to the Poor’s Land Charity who have donated funds towards cushions for an outdoor reading area. We are looking forward to investing in these and sharing our love of reading outside in the spring term.
With Storm Arwen over the weekend, we were hesitant about going to Forest School on Wednesday. However, the team up at Beedle’s Wood worked tirelessly to clear the fallen debris and make sure the area was nice and safe, so a huge thank you to them. Class three enjoyed their time in the wood on Wednesday albeit a slightly damp afternoon!
For me, Christmas is a time to share and support others. A huge thank you to all in Longnor’s school community for your hard work in organising the Frost Fair. I’m looking forward to seeing you all and sharing our singing, dancing and creative skills.
Take care and enjoy your weekend.
