Good evening,
This week in school we have begun preparing for Christmas as Advent has begun. Thank you to the School Circle who have helped decorate school and begin the festivities. I believe this is the tallest tree we’ve had in the hall – it’s so tall that we can’t fit a star on the top!
In assembly, we have begun to explore the ‘big story’ and looked at Mary’s story. We thought about how she must have felt, when she saw the Angel Gabriel and heard the news. We will continue to retell the Christmas story over the next couple of weeks.
Over the next couple of weeks, we have a lot of festivities together as a school. Please double check the dates for the diary and sign up for the pizza and pj night if you would like to book a place.
This week we would like to celebrate with the following achievers:
- Little Owls and Tawny Owls – Alice for a great attitude towards learning and Evie for great writing in phonics.
- Kestrels – Freddie for excellent listening skills, Katy for being thoughtful, Jack for excellent maths, Jacob for a fantastic attitude to assessments, Boyd for being a brilliant singer and performer and Josh for being sensible in rehearsals.
- Merlins – Marco for his great manners and Albi for his excellent ‘can do’ attitude.
- Eagles – Max for always listening carefully and Richard for excellent enthusiasm in each lesson.
Well done to all the handwriting heroes this week: Camilla, Amelia, Matilda, Rebecca and Annie.
Have a lovely weekend.
