Good evening,
I trust that you have all had a lovely week – we have in Longnor!
Our new term has started with a new value of focus. We’ve thought about ‘Truthfulness’ in our assemblies. This week we thought about the importance of seeing and hearing the whole story so that we understand the full picture. We used images on Explorify (STEM) to try to work out the images to think about the importance of seeing the whole picture.
We’ve also thought about our new learning behaviour of ‘Be Courageous’. Together, we thought about what it means to be courageous in our learning. We thought it meant:
- Not giving up
- Using resources to help ourselves if we’re stuck
- Challenging ourselves to complete tricky work

Well done to those that were recognised in achievement assembly this week:
- Little Owls:
- Jack for his brilliant writing about his holiday.
- Ellyann for writing her name carefully.
- Miles for his brilliant maths.
- Kestrels:
- Zach for showing wonderful respect.
- Rohan for using fantastic sentence openers.
- James for making excellent progress in his maths and English.
- Merlins:
- Toby E for his fantastic progress in swimming.
