Good evening,
I hope that you all had a lovely holiday and are ready for a the challenges of a new term. All teachers have been in school preparing for some exciting learning and new projects. We all look forward to seeing you in the morning.
There are a couple of changes particularly for Merlin Class. Mrs Edgerton will be leading learning for Merlin Class on a Monday through to Wednesday and Ms. Spence will be leading learning on a Thursday and Friday. Ms. Spence is an experienced key stage two teacher and has been working in St Laurence, Church Stretton and Wistanstow primary until recently. We look forward to welcoming her to the Longnor team.
Hygge Week
This week we are going to have Hygge week in school. Children can bring in some cosy socks or slippers, a small pillow/cushion and a reading book of their choice. Hygge week is about positive mental wellbeing when the days are short and the evenings dark. We will be promoting healthy wellbeing through the rest of the week and term.
Forest School
There will be forest school this week for Merlin and Eagle class, so please remember to come to school in forest school gear and bring a spare pair of shoes as the field is very muddy at the moment.
Have a lovely evening and we’ll see you in the morning.
All the best.
Mrs L. Edgerton
