Thank you for your support with the harvest service. We have thought long and hard about how to proceed with whole school events in the light of high infections in the local area. I understand that families may be disappointed that they are not invited to join in with our service, so wanted to explain our thoughts:
Following advice from the local authority, we have been leading assemblies and having lunch in two groups (classes 1&2 and classes 3&4) to avoid the large quantities of individuals in the hall at the same time and ensure adequate ventilation. We have decided to keep the same format for the harvest service.
The harvest festival will be a service led by the vicar this year. Classes have been incredibly busy this term and have decided not to present. As infection rates reduce, we will look for opportunities to bring the whole school together to celebrate Christmas and Easter.
We are aware how important whole school events are and how celebrating together with family and friends demonstrates the strength of our Longnor community.
Many thanks for your continued support.
