Longnor CE Primary School is situated within a stimulating environment and we use the local area, along with other places of interest, as a basis for study.
Cultural capital is the essential knowledge that children need to prepare them for their future success. To ensure that all children have access to a wide range of experiences to support their personal development and driven by our curriculum drivers, as a team, we have developed the ‘50 things to do before leaving Longnor’. All trips are planned carefully to ensure that all our children have a range of experiences before they leave Longnor: 50 things to do at Longnor
Parents are notified in writing and permission is sought for any visits outside the immediate area. However, we do ask for all parents to complete a general consent form. It is our firm belief that children learn best by “seeing and doing”. Class visits are an integral part of the themes being covered and make them more meaningful for the children.
