Friday 24th November

Good evening,

Thank you so much to everybody for your support through a tiring week. We have been very proud of each and every child this week: they have all worked hard and shown dedication to their work and school. I am incredibly proud of each adult that works with our school – we have a fabulous team and excellent support from our governors, so thank you all.

Currently, the report is in draft form and we have to keep the result confidential. As soon as we have permission, we will share the report.

This week we have had a number of visitors that have joined us. Merlin class welcomed a fire fighter to their class. He talked about how we can stay safe and what to do in an emergency. Merlin class asked a number of challenging questions having thought carefully about different situations.

We would like to thank students from Concord College who joined us on Wednesday afternoon to listen to readers. We all really enjoy reading and sharing our books.

At the end of a tiring week, I hope you have a restful and safe weekend.

All the best,

Mrs L. Edgerton

Assemblies this week

This week we have introduced our first learning behaviour: be resilient. Everyone thought about what it meant to be resilient and how we could show this in our lessons. We thought about how we could try to use resources to stay independent rather than relying on an adult. We also thought about showing determination and learning from our mistakes. Hopefully, you’ve seen some stickers with the resilience cat on. We hope you get to spot these more as we focus upon being resilient.

If you have spare items for the raffle table (gifts, sweets/chocolate, toys etc); teddy tombola or the barrow of booze please can you drop them off at the school reception.

If you can drop them off soon it helps us to understand what we might be short of and where to focus our efforts!  Many thanks.
