Happy New Year 2024

Good evening,

I trust that this email finds you well and that you have had a healthy start to the new year.

At Longnor, we are delighted to have our report back from Ofsted and to share with pupils how proud we are of them all. Such a fantastic ‘outstanding’ result requires celebration, so watch this space as staff have some ideas! Well done Longnor CE Primary School – we are all incredibly proud.

At the end of the term, you would have received a progress report card for your child. We hope that you find these cards informative. We will have a formal parents’ evening the week commencing the 5th February, but if there is anything you would like to discuss in the meantime please pop in or drop the office an email to arrange to meet with teachers.

The term ahead has lots of exciting learning opportunities and many events to look forward to. Eagle class are fully involved in the Shrewsbury Bookfest Award and have challenges linked to these books. KS2 have an exciting trip to Birmingham to look forward to and sports events including cricket, football and netball.

Thank you so much for your continued support at Longnor.

Have a lovely weekend.

Mrs L. Edgerton

Ofsted Report November 2023

We are delighted to share with you the final report from our Ofsted inspection which took place back in November 2023. Working within Longnor community, I feel incredible proud of every student and member of staff. Thank you to everyone for your support as we would not have achieved this without you.

Personal items

Children are bringing quite a few items into school to show and share with their friends. Some of these are getting lost and broken. Please encourage items to stay at home and if there is something memorable to share, please send a photo on Seesaw or share news on there – we can display these on the screen for all to see.
