Friday 7th March

Good evening,

What a fantastic day ‘world book day’ was! It was wonderful sharing our favourite books dressed as famous characters. We spent the day focused on traditional tales this year, which started with an ‘Masked Reader’ assembly and finished with an operatic performance of Hansel and Gretal by Eagle class! Each child will receive a world book day book voucher which they can use in exchange for a free book; this year we will hand these out in time for our book fayre in a couple of weeks time.

Thank you to Merlin Class for a fabulous assembly today. It was great to hear about your learning this term. Thank you to those that managed to join us.

We all hope Eagle class have a wonderful week in Arthog next week. They have an exciting week of outdoor adventurous activities planned including canoeing, rock climbing and gorge walking. Enjoy making fantastic memories with your friends.

Next week, in school, we are all looking forward to a jam-packed week of science. For this extra-curricular week classes will be taught by different teachers:

  • Little Owls will be taught by Ms Mullock.
  • Kestrels will be taught by Mrs Cooper.
  • Merlins will be taught by Mrs Edgerton.

All classes will have familiar adults (TAs) working with them for consistency. Please could Little Owls and Kestrels make sure they have their PE kit on Monday and Wednesday next week.

We can’t wait for next week! Have a lovely weekend.

Mrs L. Edgerton

Vomiting and diarrhoea

We have had a number of children unwell with vomiting and diarrhoea recently. Please could we remind parents not to return their children to school until 48 hours after the final episode of vomiting or diarrhoea, even if they appear well. This minimises the spread of the virus to other children and staff.
Thank you for your support.

Scholastic Book Fair

We will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair from 20-27th March.

“Skibidi Toilet”

We have had reports from some of our younger children that they have been watching ‘Skibidi Toilet’ on YouTube. We just wanted to draw attention to this programme so parents are able to make an informed choice.

‘Despite its rudimentary computer-generated animation, the videos contain violence and weaponry, prompting questions about their appropriateness for children.’
