Thursday 24th October
Good evening,
What a fantastic end to a long half term we’ve had! The autumn sun was shining and the fallen leaves were great to play in at break time:

Today, we had an assembly reflecting back upon our achievements over the past half term. Using the Bible story of Jesus in the temple from Luke, we thought about how we have all flourished in school and in the community, becoming lifelong learners. Together, we thanked the club leaders who have led the clubs this half term and hoped that they would continue after half term. We shared in the success of the basketball teams who represented the school at Church Stretton School on Tuesday, with teams coming second and third in their groups. We also congratulated everyone for their entries into the pumpkin carving competition and celebrated with the winners.
Thank you to everyone who has helped plan the school disco this evening. The school is very excited!
Thank you to all that have helped on school trips and have listened to readers. We all appreciate the time you give and the support to teaching and learning.
Have a lovely half term break.
All the best.
Mrs L. Edgerton
Pumpkin competition
What a wonderful display of pumpkins we were greeted with this morning for our Halloween pumpkin competition. Our judges found it very hard, but winners were chosen as follows:
Little Owls – Joel
Kestrels – Tess and Adelaide
Merlins – Alice B and Pippa
Eagles – Finn and Harry, and Maddie’s super owl pumpkin received an honourable mention!
Thank you to all our students and their parents for joining in, having fun and raising money for the school circle in the process.

End of Day November and Dance Club
Mrs Reynolds’ dance club taster session went really well. Therefore, starting after half term we will be offering two dance lessons – 3.30-4.30pm for key stage 1 (Reception – Year 2) and 4.30-5.30pm for key stage 2 (Years 3-6). Splitting into broad age categories will ensure that all children can be taught to a more appropriate standard. Please book into these sessions directly with the school office.
If your child is in the later session, you may chose to take your child home and return at 4.30pm or they can go to night owls until 4.30pm.
If you wish your child to attend a different session to their age group for any reason, please email the office as we are able to be flexible.
The price is the same as night owls – £5 per hour.
