Friday 14th February 2025
Good evening,
What a fantastic half term in school we have had! It has been really busy! We have seen children develop in confidence and make great progress over the half term.
This week our Little Owls had a lovely trip to the library in Church Stretton where they had a special story time and explored the books. Thank you to all our helpers that made this trip possible.
We were delighted to have Pip visit us from the Air Ambulance to say thank you for the donation of over £350 from the tractor run. It was amazing hearing about how many cases that they fly out to each day and that a Sunday afternoon is the busiest time of the week for them. Thank you to all the adults that supported the tractor run raffle and refreshments that raised money for this fantastic charity.

On Wednesday afternoon, Merlin class visited Concord College for a free showing of their Showcase. It was a wonderful opportunity to have such a range of cultures shared through dance and drama. Thank you to Concord for organising this for us.

On Tuesday, we had Online Safety Day in school. This year the theme was “Too good to be true? Protecting yourself and others from scams online.” All classes spent the day sharing key messages about protecting our personal information, keeping passwords secure and making sure we are aware of scams that could be tempting. For further information please see the Safer Internet Centre website: Tips for Parents and Carers – UK Safer Internet Centre
After a really busy half term, I hope you have a lovely break next week. We look forward to seeing you on Monday 24th February.
All the best.
Mrs L. Edgerton

Email settings
We have had a number of reports from parents to say that emails from school are being sent to Spam folders. We have spoken to the IT department, but unfortunately there is nothing we can do at our end to stop this from happening.
Please check your email settings to ensure you are receiving all the emails from school. It might help to add the school email address to your address book: the email address is admin@longnorschool.co.uk. Also, be sure to mark any school emails sent to the spam folder as “not spam”.
Thank you for your assistance with this matter.
