Friday 28th February 2025

Good evening,

It has been a lovely, sunny week in Longnor School.

Little Owls had a treat today as the Higgins family brought in two of their lambs. Owen was an expert as he answered lots of questions all about his lambs. We were all really impressed. Thank you to the Higgins family for bringing them in.

In assemblies this week, we have thought about our online reputation as part of e-safety. For our younger students, we thought about what a reputation was and then thought about how we need to be kind online. Our older students, thought about their global footprint and how content online can have an impact upon someone’s reputation. We use the Project Evolve resources to structure our whole school teaching: here is a link for further information: click here.

I hope you have a lovely weekend. Look out for the planets in the sky tonight – they are all in alignment and it looks like it will be great visibility later.

All the best.

World Book Day – Thursday 6th March 2025

We will be celebrating World Book Day in school on the 6th March. If children would like to come into school dressed as a favourite character, then that would be great. More importantly, please could they talk about books, share their favourite characters and come into school that day ready to share.

End of Day March

Please complete your child’s end of day form for March by Wednesday 25th February to allow the office staff time to process.

Wednesday after school will now be multi sports club which will offer a different sport or sport skill each week.

Thank you.
