Friday 20th June
Good evening,
What a fantastic Sports’ Day we had in school! Thank you to everyone that managed to join us for a very hot morning on the school field. It is fantastic to see everyone working as a team to gather points for their house. Congratulations go to Caradoc for getting the overall high score, but it’s a well done to everyone for their sportsmanship and the respect that they showed. Thank you to all staff for taking time to invent new and interesting stations this year. A particular thanks to Mr Helliker for overseeing and organising the day.
We have a number of achievements to share this week:
- Freddie for listening well in Sports’ Day.
- Alice Br for being amazing on the school trip to Cardingmill Valley.
- James for always being really focused and ready to learn.
- Charlie J for a brilliant attitude towards learning.
- Darcy, Pippa, Mabel and Alice H for being incredible helpers in the hall.
- Olive for her amazing piece of creative writing.
- Harry B for showing kindness towards Dom on Sports’ Day.
- Molly for showing great listening skills during swimming.
- Jack for lovely manners – holding doors open for others.
We have a very busy end of term ahead of us. Thank you for all your support in the extra-curricular activities planned.
Have a lovely weekend.
Mrs L. Edgerton

Lawley Leap Volunteers
We are still short of volunteers for the following slots, please can you spare an hour or two on the day to help out manning these stalls as we cannot run our mini fete alongside the event without your assistance:
Raffles/barrow of booze table: 10am – 2pm
Teddy Tombola: 10am – 2pm
Refreshments stall: 10am – 2pm
Bouncy Castle: 10am – 2pm
Plant stall: 10am – 2pm
Donations Needed!
We are 3 weeks away from the Lawley Leap/mini fete and desperately need donations for the event. We are expecting lots of out of school visitors to the event who will be waiting round for those participating in the Leap, so we would like to have lots of things to do and buy to raise as much money as possible.
Please can you spare the following and send them in by Friday 4th July:
- Plants for the plant stall
- Jolly Jam Jars
- Teddies/soft toys for the tombola
- Unopened bottles of booze
- Raffle prizes
We had a few volunteers sign up already to help on the day, thank you very much to those who have done so, but we still have a few gaps to fill. There will be a sign up sheet available during registration for sports day morning where you can pick your slots then.
Alternatively please message us on the school circle Whats App if you have any questions.
