Friday 15th May

Good evening,

First of all, I’d like to say thank you to the whole school for making sure they were quiet and tip-toeing around school for the mornings this week! Year six have worked really hard and have all tried their best in their English and maths SATs. We are all incredibly proud of them. We hope that they have enjoyed their Cadbury World trip and look forward to putting on a fantastic show at the end of the year. Well done to them all.

Here are our achievers this week:

Tawny owls and Little owls – Phillip for helping to wash up the paint brushes, Ellyann for showing kindness towards a friend; Kit and Billy for teaching us about honey bees.
Kestrels – Evie for trying hard with her letter, Althea for fantastic progress in her phonics and Dom for fantastic listening and effort especially when swimming.
Merlins – Tilly for an amazing glide in the triple jump and Zach for working really hard on telling the time.
Eagles – all of year six for trying their best this week and working incredibly hard.

Well done to our handwriting heroes: Oliver, Miles and Matilda. Congratulations to our reading raffle winners this week: Tobin, Freddie, Ellie, Henri and Alice Be.

We all hope that you have a lovely weekend.

Class Photos – Monday

Just a reminder that on Monday 18th May, NexGen photography will be in to do whole class and year 6 leavers photos.

Help on Saturday

Thanks to the kind donations from the Probert and Thomas families, we have just another received 2 tonnes of new play bark to finish off the agility trail. If anyone is free to lend us a hand spreading the bark on Saturday between 11am and 12pm we would be most grateful. Please bring a wheelbarrow and a shovel!

Lunchtime football

If your child wishes to play football in school at lunchtime, please make sure they bring in shinpads. Unfortunately, due to the risk of injury, we will not be allowing children to play without shinpads. Although we have some shinpads in school, we do not have enough for all children.
