Friday 16th December
We have had a lovely last week of term with festivities filling the school. Thank you to all that joined us this week.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in the church on Tuesday for our carol service. Didn’t Little Owls do well? I can’t believe how they managed to learn all of their lines and perform in many different locations this week. It was magical having the Nativity shared for all in the community both in Longnor and in the Mayfair centre in Church Stretton. Thank you to the Little Owls staff for arranging and organising this.
On Wednesday, we had a delicious Christmas lunch along with a brilliant concert led by Shropshire Music Service. The music took us all around the world and was a real treat! If you are interested in music lessons, please contact the music service and they will arrange lessons with you directly.
On Thursday, we had our Christmas parties and really got into the spirit of Christmas. Thank you so much to the School Circle helpers who volunteered for the afternoon – we all enjoyed the treats.
Today, we have had a brilliant day. Every child has been into the Wonderdome and had a tour of our solar system. It was fantastic. We were able to ask questions to the expert who led the show. I’ve learnt an awful lot about stars and black holes today! Thank you to the School Circle and all that support events as the Wonderdome was funded completely from your donations.
What a fantastic week! If I haven’t said this in person to you, I do wish you all have a lovely and safe Christmas.
All the best.
Mrs L. Edgerton
