Friday 16th May
Good evening,
What a lovely, sunny week we have had in Longnor!
Well done to all of year six who completed their SATs in a mature and positive manner. They all tried their best and, for that, we are really proud of them all. We hope that you have enjoyed your day in Blists Hill today imagining that you are Victorian school children – would you prefer to be in a Victorian school or a modern school, I wonder?
Swimming is progressing well. It is fantastic to see those that are not as confident in water, play games and begin to put their head under the water. Well done to all of you.
Next week is busy in school with Merlins, Kestrels and Little Owls heading out on trips. Please check that they have sun cream, hats and lunch prepared for these trips. Many thanks.
Have a lovely weekend.
Mrs L. Edgerton

Lawley Leap Help
We are only 2 months away from hosting the Lawley Leap (Sun 6th July) and really need your help on the day. The plan for the day is for the route to be the main event with a smaller scaled back school fete, potentially with some performances by the children, held afterwards in the early afternoon.
As such, we currently need 10 volunteers stationed on or around our planned route to ensure safety and proper completion of the course. There is no need to provide first aid as this will be staffed by professionals. If you are interested in this or know of someone who can do so please let us know in the school office. We will also need our usual band of volunteers with staffing stalls at the fete afterwards, for those who are less keen on getting your steps in!
Posters advertising this event will be printed and available to collect from reception from Monday onwards, if you are able to, please pick one up to post around your local area to advertise this event for us. A rota of stalls and volunteers posts will be circulated for sign ups nearer to the time.
Class photos
Just a reminder that Monday 19th May, NexGen photography will be in to do class and year 6 leavers photos.
