Wow! What a busy week we’ve had!

Congratulations to the indoor athletics team who went to CSS on Tuesday to compete in the area competition. There were lots of teams there from all over South Shropshire. They worked really well as a team and showed excellent perseverance even when the competition was tough. They did incredibly well – coming 4th place overall (the highest placed small school). Well done to all involved.

KS2 have had a very tiring week as they travelled to Birmingham to the Pulse Arena to sing as part of the Young Voices choir. They have been practising these songs over the past six months. What a fantastic event it was! We enjoyed watching the Urban Strides dance crew and loved singing with over 1000 voices. Thank you to all that were able to join us for the event.

This term is particularly busy – please take time to look at the ‘dates for your diary’ post as there are lots of lovely events planned.

Have a lovely weekend.

Mrs L. Edgerton

Dates for the diary

Wellies

The school field is very muddy at present. We are therefore only allowing children with wellies or forest school footwear onto the school field. If your child wishes to play on the grass at break and lunch, please make sure they have wellies in school. We will not allow them onto the field in their PE shoes as they wear these in the hall for indoor PE.

Thanks for your support.

Longnor Leap Planning Meeting

School Circle Meeting – Longnor Leap Planning Meeting
Wednesday 22nd January
Calling all fell running enthusiasts and those who can help us organise a friendly competition, we are holding a meeting to start planning an upcoming event called The Longnor Leap for later this year and really need your help! This is a brand new idea, very much modelled on the hugely successful ‘Bach Burner’ and requires a massive team with knowledge of these types of events and organisation involved, so please attend if you can. The meeting will be held in person at 3:15pm in the staff room with a Teams link below for those who cannot physically attend. Any questions regarding this prior to Wednesday please get in touch with Tina or the school office.

Save the Date – Easter Disco

Save the date of Thursday 10th April for our Easter Disco – planning is underway, more details to follow soon.

Mobilo connectors

Little Owls are on the lookout for some connectors to add to their Mobilo set. If you or anyone that you know is having a clear out, we’d be ever so grateful.
Thank you,
Mrs Jones

School Dinners price increase

From February 24th, Telford and Wrekin catering will be increasing the price of a school dinner to £2.90.

We are currently looking at alternative options with the view to reducing the price.

Safeguarding – parents on school site

Please could we kindly request that all parents sign in using the iPad in Reception and collect a visitors badge or sticker if they need to enter the school building – even if you are just popping in for a moment. It is really important for safeguarding reasons that we have a record of all adults on school property at all times. If there is no one in the office, please ring the doorbell.

Thank you so much for your co-operation.
