Friday 19th December

From everyone at Longnor, we’d like to wish you a…

Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2026!

Autumn 2025 has been fabulous at school, with children achieving through extra-curricular activities and academic work. We are proud of each and every student. Thank you to our hard-working team at Longnor, including the teaching staff, support team, wrap around staff, kitchen staff and those that help each day to clean. Most are here late into the evenings and preparing lessons at home, so for that we are very grateful.

Many thanks to all the volunteers that support us each week. Without you, we wouldn’t have incredible School Circle events. A special mention to Jess, Charlotte and Tina for all the hard work that they have put into organising events this term. We are currently raising funds for a new sports kit so that when we represent the school in cross country or sports events we arrive in style!

A huge thank you to those that give their time to listen to readers or come with us on school trips. Spending this valuable time with our students really makes a difference, so thank you.

We have a few achievers this week:

  • Little Owls and Tawny Owls: Hattie for being a kind friend and Nimrit for welcoming a new family to Longnor.
  • Kestrels: James and Arthur for being a great team when bread making.
  • Merlins: Lucy, Betsy and Henri for excellent writing in Spanish. Barnaby and Alice for great DT work.
  • Eagles: Jack for excellent determination when writing his non-chronological report and Oscar for fantastic problem solving in DT.

For now though, I hope you all have a lovely Christmas holiday. We look forward to welcoming you back on Tuesday 6th January 2026.
