Friday 25th November

We’ve had another very busy week in school. We’ve lots of performers practicing their acting, singing and playing in preparation for the Christmas concerts and the Frost Fayre. We would like to give performers the chance to share next Friday, so please could we have the following running order:

  • 6:15pm – Kestrel class singers
  • 6:30pm – Dance club
  • 6:45pm – Band
  • 7pm – Ukulele players
  • 7:15pm – Recorder groups (jazzy recorders, rocking recorders and a solo by Robert)
  • 7:30pm – Christmas compositions by Merlin Class (those that feel confident to share)

We will have the stage up in the hall ready to perform.

Also, this week, we’ve had another sporting festival run by our ambassadors – New Aged Kurling. They led the session for Merlin Class and organised the session confidently from the beginning to the end. It was very impressive.

Please take note of the dates of performances and the carol service. We hope to share these with you.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

All the best.

Mrs L. Edgerton

Key dates coming up

Dates for your diary:

  • Kestrel class play – 7th December at 6pm
  • Christmas Carol Service with Little Owls Nativity – 13th December at 2pm

Attendance

We’ve had a visit from our Education Welfare Officer this week. She recognises that there have been a number of ‘bugs’ doing the rounds this term, but she has encouraged attendance if able to school. We recognise that with the viruses doing the rounds this isn’t always possible, but sometimes it is good to give school a go and we can then arrange for collection later in the day.

Xmas Jolly Jam Jars – deadline 28th Nov

Can you and your children help?  Let your imagination and creativity go wild, fill and decorate used glass jam jars to donate to the ‘Jolly Jam Jar’ stall at the Frost Fayre.

The jars will be sold for between 50p and £2 depending on the size.

Jars can be filled with anything you like – sweets, bouncy balls, hair clips, stickers (no nuts please) – get creative and decorate them too, see the image below for some ideas!

Please bring your completed jam jars into school by Monday 28th November – many thanks!

Donations and lost lights!!

We are missing a large set of decorative, outdoor lights that were kindly donated to us last year.  If you loaned us lights previously, could you check that they weren’t mistakenly added to your items that were returned to you please – many thanks.
With under a week to go until the Frost Fayre, we are still lacking in donations for teddies, bottles and prizes for the raffle. Please donate where you can as this is one of our main fundraisers and funds cannot be raised if we don’t have the generous gifts and items to sell. Anything you can spare can be dropped into the school office next week.  Your support is really appreciated.
