Friday 28th June
Good evening,
We have had a lovely, sunny week at Longnor!
Thank you to all that joined us for our sports day earlier today. It was fabulous to see all working together, including all and supporting each other to achieve. A huge thank you to Mr Helliker and the sports leaders for setting up the day and ensuring it went so smoothly.
Eagle class had a brilliant adventure on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. They used their expert map skills to navigate over the Longmynd to Minton adventure camp. On the way, they used precise compass skills to find a hidden code and treasure hidden in the bracken. Once there, they all worked as a team to cook and clean the meals, build shelters and light a great camp fire. My highlight was singing the funny songs around the camp fire. Well done to Eagle class and a huge thank you to all the adults that volunteered their time to provide this opportunity.
As you prepare for the last few weeks of term, please take time to consider the weather: a sun hat is vital with the UV being high this week and pollen levels have been high, so please let us know if we can support in managing hay fever.
Have a lovely weekend.
Mrs L. Edgerton
