Friday 30th June 2023
Good evening,
With the summer fayre this weekend, school has been filled with activity in preparation. We have been practising very hard together as a team to get ready. Also, we have filled recycled objects with flowers and designed art for the church which will be on display this weekend.
I look forward to seeing you at the weekend.
All the best.
Mrs L. Edgerton

Move up morning on Tuesday 4th July
On Tuesday, we will have our move up morning. The children will begin in the hall for an assembly before they head to their new classes with their new teachers in preparation for September. As Mrs Jones is poorly, Ms Reece will be leading learning in reception.
- Little Owls – Ms Reece (Mrs Jones) with Mrs Cooper and Mrs Offland
- Kestrels – Ms Mullock with Mrs Russell
- Merlins – Mr Helliker with Mrs Wilson
- Eagles – Mrs Lewis with Mrs Buckland and Ms Yates
Most of year six will be at their secondary school, however, for those that are staying in school on Tuesday, Mrs Hall will be working in the study with them.

We’ve got gold!
Because of our PE offer, the clubs and activities, the sports events that we attend and the bronze ambassadors that run events in school, we have been awarded the Gold Sports Mark for 2022-23. Well done Longnor!

Bouncy castle and inflatables at the summer fayre
Should the weather allow it, we will have inflatables at the summer fayre on Sunday. This will not be manned by the School Circle and, therefore, will need parental supervision for the children to use this. Many thanks.
Year 2 NSPCC workshop
The NSPCC would like to visit school on Tuesday 4th July (pm) to do a workshop with year two following the assembly that they watched. They will focus upon who their trusted adults are and how it is really important to talk and share your worries. This is part of their Speak Out, Stay Safe campaign.
Year 2 camp
YEAR 2 OVERNIGHT CAMP – Friday 7th July 2023
We would like to invite the Year 2 children to an overnight camp here at school where we will camp in the classroom. We will have an evening meal of pizza, chips, salad and fruit and we will provide cereal or toast for breakfast. Your child can bring a small snack for the evening if they wish. A kit list can be found on the reverse of this letter.
We are asking for a contribution of £3.00 to help cover the cost of the evening meal and breakfast.
If your child has any concerns/issues about bedtime that you think we should be aware of (i.e. bedwetting, night terrors etc.) please could you let us know.
Please send your child into school with all their kit on Friday morning.
Your child will need collecting from school at 9.00am on Saturday 8th July.
Please give consent and pay via ParentPay by Wednesday 5th July at the latest.
