Friday 3rd February
Good evening,
We’ve had another busy week in school. I thought I’d use our school values to sum up some key events from the week:
Trust
In forest school, this week, Eagle class built shelters. They demonstrated trust in each other when building the structures and used the equipment safely.
Joy
In science, Merlin class have been looking at magnets. Following their investigating, they went on to make a compass. It was incredible and lots of fun!
Hope
In PSHE, Kestrel class have been building their perfect Kestrel community. They have hope that they can inspire generosity, respectful relationships and care for the environment.
Love
This week adults have loved seeing the progress that children have made, especially by Little Owls. They have made fantastic progress in their phonics and are now writing full sentences applying their sounds. Well done Little Owls.
We all hope that you have a lovely weekend. All the best.
Mrs L. Edgerton
Please park with consideration
We understand that it is tricky to find somewhere to park at the end of the day; however, please take a moment to park with consideration of our neighbours and those that walk on the footpaths.
Slippers: years 1 – 6
There are many posts about footwear this week!
As we are aiming to have more of a hygge environment around school and as our school field gets very muddy, you may want to send a pair of slippers into school for indoor use. Children can then change their footwear in the cloakroom. Please be aware that should we have a fire alarm, they will be expected to walk outside in their slippers, so an older pair would be recommended.
PE footwear
On a Wednesday, please could Merlin and Eagle class wear footwear suitable for PE. Some have been wearing walking boots, which are not very practical when doing athletics.
Pair of green wellies
Please could you have a look at home for a pair of lost green wellies, as Jasmine in Eagle class has misplaced hers. Many thanks.
Can you spare an hour?
Can you spare an hour or so on Thursday 16th February?
We are running a Popcorn & PJ evening and need volunteers to help during the event. Please drop a message on the School Circle WhatsApp group if you are able to help or let the school office know.
Many thanks.
