Newsletter – Friday 3rd May
Good evening,
We’ve had a fantastic week in school! Eagle class have had a particularly busy week with a trip to Theatre Severn for the Shropshire Bookfest Ceremony. It was great to hear the authors talk about what inspired them to write their books and amazing to see our comments appear on the big screen at the front. Congratulations go to Nancy, Grace and Elsie who won the school competitions for art, letter and poem writing.
We were invited to attend the area netball competition on Tuesday afternoon. Our netball team played some challenging matches against the best teams in the area. They played very well and worked together as a team.
Well done to all those that have been swimming this week. Already staff have been amazed by the progress that has been made – we look forward to challenging some to their 25 metre (and further) distance awards.
Have a lovely ‘long’ weekend and see you on Tuesday.

School Circle Mtg – next Fri 10th
Friday 10th May 2.45pm, in the staff room
This is an important meeting as we will start planning the Summer Fete due to be held early July. We would like to bring back Longnor Fest this year and the format which will require a lot of input and help from the Longnor community.
Please do come forward if you have an idea for the event, or can spare as little as an hour on the day. Every little bit helps!
