Friday 8th November 2024
Good evening,
Little Owls would like to express their huge thanks for the support that they have received this week in the bingo and the cake sale. They have made a huge £500 which they plan to use to buy resources for the classroom. Thank you for your generosity and to the local businesses that donated prizes.
This week we’ve had a donation of hedgerow shrubs from the Woodlands Trust. Eagle class, together with the eco-committee, spent their forest school session planting the new hedgerow. We are looking forward to seeing it develop. Thank you to the Woodland Trust for this donation.
We’ve spent time in collective worship thinking further about allowing ourselves time to reflect and check in with our thoughts and emotions. Because of this, we have created a relaxed space outside on the field with our tree stumps where children can spend time reflecting on their own or with their friends, read a book or draw. This has been a positive space already and some of our older children seem to enjoy having the quiet space at lunch time.
Next week, we have our new clubs starting at lunchtime. There are a range of activities run by the children and staff. It is a lovely opportunity for children to develop leadership skills and learn from each other. Please encourage children to look at the range of activities and pop into the clubs over the next few weeks.
With further bonfire events happening this weekend, we all hope that you have a lovely time and stay safe.
All the best.
Mrs L. Edgerton
