We have been incredibly lucky, over the past six months, to have had the fabulous Ms Reece leading learning across the school, but in particularly in Little Owls. We are delighted to have Mrs Jones back full time and healthy, but we are sad to say goodbye to a valued member of our school team on Friday. I’m sure you’ll join me in thanking her for all her hard work. When we need supply cover, Ms Reece will be the first person that we call, so we hope this isn’t a goodbye but a ‘see you later’!
Today, has been ‘Safer Internet Day’ in school. We have all been thinking about how things change online and what we need to when we notice change. Some classes have been thinking about pop-ups, viruses and scams that we might come across when online. We had a brilliant sharing assembly at the end of the day to sing songs and share our work that we’ve been focusing on today. For further information, please see the ‘Safer Internet Day 2024’ website: click here.
On Wednesday Merlins and Eagles had a brilliant day at the Balaji Temple and Birmingham Symphony hall. I’ve heard glowing reports about the respect that our children showed throughout the whole trip. A huge thank you to all adults who joined us on this trip as without you we wouldn’t be able to run such a fantastic day.
For now, I’d like to wish you a lovely and safe half term break. Please remember that we’ve got a PD day on Monday 19th February.
All the best.
Mrs L. Edgerton
Unfortunately, due to very low take up of this service, we are no longer able to offer regular after school care on a Friday. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.
Please complete your child’s end of day form for March by Friday February 23rd. Many thanks.
Just a reminder that Monday 19th February is a PD day. We look forward to welcoming children back to school on Tuesday 20th February.
Next half term will be offering a new style cookery club once a month on a Friday night between 3.15-5.00pm. The children will be making a family dinner to serve about 4 people. The first of these sessions will be held on 1st March. Please book on via ParentPay to reserve your slot by 23rd February.
Please note: we will need a minimum of 12 students to run this club.
Please join us for an informal school circle meeting on Friday 23rd February in the school hall from 3pm onwards. This is an opportunity for everyone to meet the team and contribute new ideas to our upcoming Spring/Summer events. Refreshments will be served.

At Nexus Fostering based in Telford, we’re looking for local people like you to become foster carers. By providing a loving and stable home environment, you can support the increasing number of children and young people in the local area who cannot live in their family homes. Not all children require long-term care. We also need foster carers for short-term placements, respite care, and to provide temporary homes to support young parents and their babies. So, if you have a spare room and are ready to change lives, please give us a call on 01952916002 or email Lisa Hall on firstname.lastname@example.org
