Newsletter – Friday 9th February

Good evening,

We have been incredibly lucky, over the past six months, to have had the fabulous Ms Reece leading learning across the school, but in particularly in Little Owls. We are delighted to have Mrs Jones back full time and healthy, but we are sad to say goodbye to a valued member of our school team on Friday. I’m sure you’ll join me in thanking her for all her hard work. When we need supply cover, Ms Reece will be the first person that we call, so we hope this isn’t a goodbye but a ‘see you later’!

Today, has been ‘Safer Internet Day’ in school. We have all been thinking about how things change online and what we need to when we notice change. Some classes have been thinking about pop-ups, viruses and scams that we might come across when online. We had a brilliant sharing assembly at the end of the day to sing songs and share our work that we’ve been focusing on today. For further information, please see the ‘Safer Internet Day 2024’ website: click here.

On Wednesday Merlins and Eagles had a brilliant day at the Balaji Temple and Birmingham Symphony hall. I’ve heard glowing reports about the respect that our children showed throughout the whole trip. A huge thank you to all adults who joined us on this trip as without you we wouldn’t be able to run such a fantastic day.

For now, I’d like to wish you a lovely and safe half term break. Please remember that we’ve got a PD day on Monday 19th February.

All the best.

Mrs L. Edgerton

All meals will be vegetarian with the option of dairy / gluten free if needed. Meals may include pasta bake, cheese and potato pie and puff pastry tart.

The cost of these sessions will be £12 and children will need to be booked into each session at least a week in advance on ParentPay.

The first of these sessions will be held on 1st March. Please book on via ParentPay to reserve your slot by 23rd February.
