Dates for the Diary – Autumn Term
Meet the teacher meetings
If you are able to join your new class teacher for a quick meeting next week, we’d like to share key information with you:
- Monday 8th September at 3:30pm – Merlins
- Tuesday 9th September at 3:30pm – Kestrels
- Wednesday 10th September at 3:30pm – Eagles
School dinners
This week (week 1) we have a switch of dinner menus:
- Wednesday – chicken/vegan meatballs with pasta
- Thursday – roast dinner
PE
PE will be starting this week. Please make sure that children have their PE kit ready. For a reminder of the kit, please see the school website: click here.
Little Owls : Mondays and Wednesdays
Kestrels: Wednesdays and Thursdays
Merlins and Eagles: Tuesdays and Fridays
Forest School
For forest school, children will need to bring in a change of clothes. They must have their arms and legs fully covered as most classes will be using tools and lighting fires during the term and to join in they must have the appropriate clothing. Please pack clothing suitable for the weather: on rainy days they will need wellies and full waterproofs.
Forest school will start this week:
- Tuesdays – Kestrels
- Fridays – Little Owls, Merlins and Kestrels
Phonics workshop for parents of Tawny and Little Owls
If you are able to join Mrs Jones for a phonics workshop on Monday 15th September at 9am, she would really appreciate explaining the phonics scheme and how she has set up reading books etc.
We hope to see you then.
Labelling clothing
Please label every item of clothing: we often have a large amount of lost property and could return items to owners if they are labelled.

No ‘Stay and Play’ this week
As it is the first week back, there will not be a stay and play session on Friday. The first session will be the first Friday in October.
September End of Day
We hope you are having a wonderful Summer and look forward to welcoming the children back on Wednesday 3rd September.
