Thank you to everyone that filled in the questionnaire about safety on our school site. We had a really positive meeting and really happy to share that safety continues to be our priority. All children were given the opportunity to share their views in a survey and they report that they feel safe at school.
To be even better, we are going to focus upon a few elements:
- Little Owls – at pick up and drop off, please could they now use the gate in by the garden. The entrance is too close to the buses and on the main road, so we’d now like to use the garden gate. Please start this from Monday morning.
- The speed limit on the road – the Parish Council has nominated Longnor for the pilot for 20’s plenty scheme. We are awaiting updates from them.
- We are concerned that children are trying to jump and reach the button to release the front door, so we are looking at investing in a fob system to tighten this security.
- Lines on the road – we have put in a request for the lines to be repainted and have been told that this will be looked at later this summer.
Many thanks for all that completed the survey. Your views and opinions are valued as we want to make school as safe as we possibly can.
